The section carried out analytical and information activities for the chief of Directorate X of the Federal ministry of interior and his deputies. It secured the information service for individual executive bodies and elaborated documents for focusing and planned steering of the counterintelligence activity. It also prepared materials suitable for publication as part of anti-propaganda, “preventive-educational impact” and popularisation of the activity of the National security corps. It also processed data for their subsequent computerisation.
