Analytical defence department of the non-legal foreign intelligence

The Department (the 13th Department starting in 1971) was incporporated into the non-legal foreign intelligence in the organisational structure of the 1st Directorate of the Federal Ministry of Interior. It carried out analytical activities necessary for steering the non-legal foreign intelligence and for the preventive defence of the non-legal foreign intelligence apparatus abroad, its forms and methods of work. It monitored and verified the observance of conspiracy among the non-legal apparatus in the ČSSR, former foreign intelligence members and candidates. It secured and carried out all activities associated with the procurement of financial means for the non-legal foreign intelligence members.
