The circle of all persons with a relationship (direct, indirect, prospective) to a subject of intelligence interest or with the possibility to perform auxiliary tasks from which the members of the Czechoslovak intelligence service selected types to build and expand the agent network. This base consisted of a group of persons in any social position, both from a class perspective, as well as the hierarchy of functions and gender, except for members of the Communist Party, who were recruited only in accordance with a Directive of the Ministry of Interior.
